I believe that all of us have a secret alter ego. We all lead double lives; including my client. The person we want to come across when we are in public- sophisticated, chic and perhaps upwardly mobile. And the part of us that wants to be free, relaxed and seeking tranquillity. Through my interior design I wanted to keep both personalities separate without the two lives interfering with each other within that space. The kitchen, living room and balcony are public spaces where the client will interact with friends and colleagues. The timeless black and white design is supported by the simplicity of the furniture creating a chic contemporary look. My client enjoys cooking and the open plan design allows him to showcase his skills to his guests. The bedroom, toilet and shower is represented by shades of royal blue and duck egg which provides the room with a tranquil feel. The window seat allows more seating space in the room if my client wants to relax with his guests. With my design I wanted to reveal the cheeky and audacious side of my client. The shower door is made of switch glass which is transparent but you can have privacy with just a flick of a switch. Last but not the least; the design for the toilet was designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez. I designed the toilet seat inspired by their work. FLOOR PLAN
